With singer Katja Picker fronting the band, Wild Bunch has won several international awards. In 1994 they placed second in the finals of the ‘Euro-Disneyland-Country-Music-Awards in Paris, competing against 80 European Country bands. The GACMF ( German American Country Music Federation) congratulated Wild Bunch with the award ‘Newcomer of the Year in January 1995.
Even in the states they were successful and were the first German Country band to make it into the Indy-Charts. With the song “Are You Sure” Wild Bunch was able to stay in the top ten for 4 weeks. Also the Song “In Your Presence” was played many times by radios in Texas and Arizona.
Awards and Prizes show, that even Country Music experts are interested in the band.
Traditional Country elements are well mixed with modern pop sounds. Their show consists of everything from nice smooth Ballads to rock and new country.
After a short break, the 6 musicians are back on stage with their current program. Along with their already known songs, they are working songs from their upcoming Album into their program. While Wild Bunch is inspiring audiences at different open air concerts, the band is also putting the finishing touches on their new album, to be released this fall. The first single “I’m going down” will be available soon.
